Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney was born Amal Ramzi Alamuddin. She is a Lebanese-British barrister human rights activist, philanthropist and human rights advocate. She is a graduate of Oxford University School of Law as well as New York University School of Law. The length of her career has been praised internationally for her achievements in international law as well as in the area that deals with human rights. Some of her most prominent clients include numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight for recognition of Armenia's participation in the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney got engaged to and later married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household name in pop entertainment. Before this, she had already been well known by the legal profession in her ability to defend clients. In the past, she has dealt with human and social rights issues as well as representing multi-national corporations in their court actions as well as negotiations regarding federal regulations. Since 2015, she was a barrister one type of legal representative for British courts in London's Doughty Street Chambers.
